I am the Editor in Chief of
FAE Magazine (Faeries and Enchantment). I am also the founder of the
3 Wishes Faery Fest, the UK's first and only major faerie festival with overnight camping and live music stages and entertainment, a magical wonderland of enchantment in the heart of Cornwall! I also did the first
UK Faery Ball established in 2006 ~ Karen Kay
Singing has been my profession since the age of 15, and my musical career really took off when I auditioned to sing with
The Spiders, I was then headhunted and asked to sing and play bass guitar with punk/pop band,
The Gymslips.
We released several records and recorded a
John Peel Session for BBC Radio 1. I also worked as a session singer and sang backing vocals on the "Dreams come True" album by A Flock of Seagulls.
I was also the 'punk postcard girl' with spiky red hair, and those postcards are still on sale all around Europe even now! I wish I had a penny for every one sold!
in 2000 I gained a Post Graduate Diploma in Broadcast Journalism, and have worked for the BBC and independent Radio stations as a Broadcast Journalist and News Editor. I was also the Cornwall Editor for Connect, an environmental magazine. I have my own column in South West Connections and have been writing for them for several years. I have been an event organiser for more than 14 years and founded Love & Light Events, the cosmic umbrella for my events including;
Earth, Health & Mystic Fayres (Est. 1994) The Angel Conference (a one-off event in 1999),
Faery, Angel & Healing Fayre (Est. 2003),
The Faery Ball (Est 2006) and the
3 Wishes Faery Fest (Est 2007). You may have noticed I LOVE faeries, angels and all things mystical!
